Ugg. Time to unload my "bitchin' wagon".
My family keeps pride that our yard is neatly kept, shrubs trimmed, and branches and debris are cleared. Unfortunately our lawnmower just broke, and not more than a week later, our landlord calls us telling that the city is giving us 48 hours to do a ridiculous amount of yard work. We did as he said -having bought $300 worth of landscaping tools-, but also checked out his claims that it was the city who required this. Their regulations only required us to do a fraction of what we did, so it seems our landlord's trying to hoodwink us. Worst of all, we chopped down ALL our lovely azalea bushes that I had taken pains to keep neat over the years. Now the front-yard looks awful and my heart's just broken over it. But I have to admit, the back-yard looks better than it has since we moved in, and azaleas grow quickly, so it wasn't all for nothing.
I'm probably taking the next semester off so I can work full-time and get a car. I like the bus, but it takes two hours to get 30 miles and one mile of walking. So, yah, a car.
